Beyond A Care Job – Featuring Donna (Helping Restore Ability)

This is an entry to recognize a top caregiver in the industry, submitted by Briann at Helping Restore Ability in Texas. Please join us is recognizing a care job well done.

Donna found our agency when she attendant a job fair hosted by MyCNAjobs.com in December of 2019. Because we were impressed with her as a candidate but, did not have a need for caregivers in her area, her application was archived.

In late December we received a resignation from our previous attendant trainer. This position is critical to our clients and agency. This person is responsible for helping to train caregivers in the home as they are hired and also acts as the attendant for any client who the agency has yet to find a permanent caregiver for.

Once Donna interviewed for and accepted the position she immediately became an asset to the company. Because of hiring Donna, we are able to serve more clients than ever and have fewer unbillable hours. Each person that she cares for on a interim basis requests her to come back. Because of Donna’s care and attention to detail for each and everyone she serves we have had to explain to many clients that they could not “keep” her once we find a more permanent caregiver.

This is exactly the type of care that HRA as an agency wishes to deliver for each and every hour of service we provide. Donna’s commitment to caring for others bleeds the mission of our agency and this industry. We are grateful to MyCNAjobs.com for helping to connect us with her and I know that our client’s are too
