Caregiver Activity Guide – Running Out of Ideas of Things To Do With Your Client?

Running out of new things to do with your client? We get it. Being a caregiver often requires you to be creative…and when you feel like you’ve done everything, any new activity to try with your client is a good one.

When figuring out things to do, there are a few questions you should ask yourself. What can your client physically do? What are things they like and don’t like? What are their dietary restrictions? Do they like animals? Asking questions like these often will help new ideas come to mind and narrow in on enriching activities you can do together. Can your client walk? Take them somewhere new for a walk to get a change of scenery. Do they enjoy sweets? Try making them an ice cream sundae. Do they like animals? Maybe a friend of yours has a pet they would enjoy seeing. Questions like these can really help spur some new ideas.
